Making its debut in Spring of 2024, The Merriment Experiment is a new online HQ for information and inspiration for musicians and entertainers interested in performing for seniors in facilities.

We feature several interviews per month with activities directors, agents and musicians in the field with a focus on practical insider knowledge. There will be posts on repertoire, marketing tips, heartwarming tales of playing for seniors and more.

My name is Bibi Farber and I have played in senior facilities for years. I have experience working with agencies, as an independent and as a volunteer. This work just gets more enjoyable and rewarding with each and every gig experience. I got the idea to help my fellow musicians along the way when so many of them asked me how to break into this. I thought: they don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Why not share resources, share marketing efforts, enlarge the circle and all play more as a result?

The Merriment Experiment is an online community for those already active and those wanting to join us, delivered with a spirit of collaborative exchange. The comments section will be as valuable as the posts.
